Your mission

Implementation of high-throughput screening (HTS) campaigns for research and development projects
Close collaboration in interdisciplinary project groups and external collaboration partners to develop new assay methods and protocols
Transfer of biochemical assays into microtiter plate formats
Implementation and optimization of liquid handling processes to maximize the efficiency, accuracy and reproducibility of bioassays
Process development on fully automated HTS systems, including programming
Technical support and optimization of highly integrated robotic systems
Biochemical, molecular biological and microbiological work
Training employees in the use of automation systems and pipetting robots
Assistance in the preparation of work instructions and technical documentation
OPTIONAL: Participation in the on-call service

Your profile

We are looking for curious, enthusiastic and committed employees for High Throughput Screening (HTS) and laboratory automation.

Requirements:

Completed training as a biology laboratory technician, technical assistant (BTA, MTA) or a comparable qualification in the field of life sciences or biotechnology.
ALTERNATIVE: Successfully completed studies in biotechnology or bioprocess engineering, experienced technician or comparable training
High level of motivation and commitment as well as enjoyment of complex technical issues at the interface between biotechnology, laboratory automation and robotics
Several years of professional experience in the field of laboratory automation and liquid handling
Experience in the field of molecular biology, protein engineering or strain development
Knowledge in operation, maintenance and programming of various pipetting robots (e.g. Analytik Jena CyBi Well, Tecan EVOware, Agilent VWorks, Thermo Scientific Momentum, Hamilton Venus Software) an advantage
Programming experience (Python, machine learning/preventive maintenance) an advantage
Independent, reliable and team-oriented way of working
Strong hands-on mentality, high degree of accuracy, willingness for further training and familiarization with new technologies
Excellent English skills and confident with MS Office (e.g. Excel)

Ihre Aufgaben

Durchführung von Hochdurchsatzscreening (HTS)-Kampagnen für Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekte
Enge Zusammenarbeit in interdisziplinären Projektgruppen und externen Kollaborationspartner/innen zur Entwicklung neuer Assay-Methoden und -protokollen
Übertragung von biochemischen Assays in Mikrotiterplattenformate
Implementierung und Optimierung von Liquid-Handling-Prozessen, um die Effizienz, Genauigkeit und Reproduzierbarkeit von Bioassays zu maximieren
Prozessentwicklung auf vollautomatisierten HTS-Anlagen inklusive Programmierung
Technische Betreuung und Optimierung von hoch-integrierten Robotikanlagen
Biochemische, molekularbiologische und mikrobiologische Arbeiten
Schulung von Mitarbeiter/innen im Umgang mit Automationsanlagen und Pipettierrobotern
Mithilfe bei der Erstellung von Arbeitsvorschriften und technischer Dokumentation
OPTIONAL: Teilnahme an Bereitschaftsdienst

Ihr Profil

Wir suchen neugierige, enthusiastische und engagierte Mitarbeiter für High Throughput Screening (HTS) und Laborautomation.

Was Du mitbringen solltest:

Abgeschlossene Ausbildung als Biologielaborant/in, technische/r Assistent/in (BTA, MTA) oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation im Bereich Biowissenschaften oder Biotechnologie
ALTERNATIV: Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Studium der Biotechnologie oder Bioverfahrenstechnik, erfahrener Techniker oder vergleichbare Ausbildung
Hohes Maß an Motivation und Engagement sowie Freude an komplexen technischen Fragestellungen an der Schnittstelle zwischen Biotechnologie, Laborautomation und Robotics
Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung im Bereich Laborautomation und Liquid Handling
Erfahrungen im Bereich Molekularbiologie, protein engineerung oder Stammentwicklung
Kenntnisse in Bedienung, Wartung und Programmierung von verschiedenen Pipettierrobotern (z.B. Analytik Jena CyBi Well, Tecan EVOware, Agilent VWorks, Thermo Scientific Momentum, Hamilton Venus Software) von Vorteil
Programmiererfahrung (Python, machine Learning/preventive maintenance) von Vorteil
Selbstständige, zuverlässige und teamorientierte Arbeitsweise
